Job summary

Pearson is standardizing how content gets planned, built, and measured, embedding a spine of quality data, taxonomy, and metadata across markets. The role sits with content BU teams to rebuild workflows and lift teams through practical training and AI-enabled content tooling.

You will guide senior content PMs, model governance for content artifacts, and push high‑quality plans that tie to learner outcomes, with the goal of measurable quality improvements across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years in product management for content or publishing.
• Hands-on ownership of content standards work: taxonomy and metadata design, quality frameworks.
• Experience with authoring, production platforms (CMS, DAM, LCMS), including migrations.
• Built and shipped substantive content systems with current AI tooling.
• Experience in SVPG-style empowered product teams and value-centric planning.
• Strong written and verbal communication with technical and business audiences.
• Ability to coach other PMs and leaders without friction.

Responsibilities

• Embed the standards spine inside real business unit work with 95% data quality targets.
• Redesign and shorten production workflows, removing handoffs and rework.
• Partner with content leaders through strategy, planning, and craft.
• Guide teams to high‑quality plans and content strategy linked to learner jobs.
• Design and deliver training anchored in Pearson’s real content problems.
• Contribute to the content job family and community of practice.
• Build AI fluency across the content talent base in a practical way.
• Identify manual tasks worth automating and prototype automation.
• Bring telemetry and human‑in‑the‑loop design to AI‑assisted content generation.
• Maintain a clear view on where AI helps vs. where it does not.
• Role model collaboration across product, engineering, design, and editorial.
