Impact Recruitment Ltd in Wallingford, CT is seeking a Senior Product Lead - Business Development to manage orders, contracts, and BD efforts for critical mission systems. The role coordinates customer, government and commercial activities, ensuring accurate terms and robust program forecasting.

Responsibilities include logging orders, updating SOPs, engaging customers and reps, and ensuring export control compliance. Travel to U.S. locations is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (Technical) or applicable experience.
• 5+ years promoting specialized Electrical Assemblies (HMIs, EMI Filters, Capacitors, Magnetics, Avionics sensing & control, etc.).
• 3+ years of government contracts experience, ideally in Aerospace & Defense.
• 5+ years meeting or exceeding BD financial planning budgets and forecasts.
• Knowledge of Government contracts.
• US Person or eligible to obtain Export Authorization.
• Ability to travel to customer locations in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Process, distribute, and log all new/change orders and RFPs per procedures.
• Maintain and update internal procedures for continuous improvement and SOPs.
• Coordinate end customer/government and commercial orders/contracts with terms to Commercial.
• Support business development efforts to generate new orders.
• Engage customers and Sales team to identify opportunities and future programs.
• Support BD financial planning, budget & forecast based on customer programs.
• Generate and distribute sales reports as required.
• Visit and manage customers/reps/sales team as directed by management.
• Knowledgeable of export compliance; prepare DD250s on government orders when required.
• Attend production meetings to ensure commitments are met and issues resolved.
• Coordinate information between departments for timely data flow into Sales & BD.
• Maintain customer relationships by responding to requests and following up.
• Prioritize workload to achieve departmental objectives.
• Follow up on quotes from submittal to win/loss; manage the win/loss report.
• Carry out other duties as reasonably required by Management.
• Qualify lead and new business opportunities (NBOs).
