Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Senior UX Designer who couples strong UX craft with strategic thinking to shape meaningful experiences for customers and associates. You will collaborate with Product and Engineering to solve complex challenges, define experiences from discovery through delivery, and use AI to accelerate workflows.

Day to day, you will lead complex design initiatives, create service designs and flows, conduct tests, and synthesize insights to inform decisions.

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years of UX/Product/Service design experience.
Experience leading complex initiatives from discovery through delivery.
Experience planning, executing, and synthesizing moderated and unmoderated user testing with qualitative and quantitative data.

Responsibilities

Lead the design of complex customer and associate experiences from concept through delivery.
Create service designs, user flows, prototypes, and experience concepts.
Plan and conduct moderated and unmoderated tests, surveys, and other evaluations to inform decisions.
Drive early problem definition and solution direction with Product to ensure the right thing is built.
Apply customer insights and analytics to identify opportunities and improve experiences.
Synthesize findings into clear recommendations for Product, Engineering, and stakeholders.
Partner with Product and Engineering to identify opportunities, define solutions, and navigate trade-offs.
Leverage AI to accelerate discovery, ideation, content creation, and prototyping.
Contribute to and evolve design systems, patterns, and best practices.
