Job summary

Lam Research in the United States (Oregon) seeks a Product Engineer for the Platform Global Product Support team. You will be the backbone of technical support for field engineers and product support personnel, diagnosing and solving issues in complex semiconductor equipment.

Responsibilities include responding to escalations, reporting bugs, supporting customer installations, and preparing technical reports and documentation for internal teams and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years experience or a Master's degree with 6+ years of experience; or a PhD with 3 years of experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, fluent in English, strong presentation skills.
• Capable of structured problem solving (8D methodology preferred).
• Teamwork and ability to establish relationships in a multicultural environment with internal and external customers.
• Service oriented and able to work in a matrix environment.
• Comfortable traveling up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Global Product Support engineer providing technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel.
• Respond to situations where first-line product support failed to isolate or fix problems, including failure analysis.
• Report design, reliability and maintenance problems or bugs to design/engineering and collaborate on solutions.
• Involved in customer installation and training.
• Provide support to customers/users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated.
• Create and present reports related to design, reliability, maintenance problems, software bugs, projects and escalations; update documentation for field engineers and customers.
