Job summary

AMD is seeking a Product Development Engineer in Austin, TX. In this senior technical leadership role, you will lead production-ready test solutions from silicon bring-up through high-volume manufacturing, shaping test strategy, DFT, and ATE development.

You will collaborate with Design, Validation, and Manufacturing teams to optimize quality, yield, and cost while mentoring engineers and driving automation across product lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
• 5+ years of semiconductor product engineering, test development, or silicon validation.
• Experience with ATE platforms and production test methodologies.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in Python, scripting, and automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead product test strategy, DFT planning, and ATE solution development for APU products.
• Drive silicon bring-up, characterization, product definition, and performance optimization activities.
• Optimize product quality, yield, test coverage, and manufacturing costs to maximize business value.
• Collaborate with Design, Validation, Product Engineering, and Hardware Infrastructure teams to define production test and debug solutions.
• Develop, validate, and troubleshoot ATE hardware, software, and test programs across manufacturing environments.
• Mentor engineers and drive scalable automation, infrastructure, and best practices across product lines.
