Job summary

Checkr is seeking a Senior Product Designer to shape end-to-end experiences for Verifications products, including drug and occupational health testing. You will partner with Product and Engineering to craft intuitive workflows across candidate, employer, and internal operations while balancing user needs with business outcomes.

You will drive discovery through execution, showcasing strong craft, and communicating clearly to influence decisions in a high-trust, regulated space.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of product design experience in relevant domains.
• Portfolio shows end-to-end thinking, with problem framing and outcomes.
• Able to simplify complex domains into intuitive flows.
• Strong product instincts balancing user, business, and tech needs.
• Collaborative, influential in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to plan and execute lightweight research independently.
• Attention to interaction details, content clarity, and accessibility.
• Bias for action and ownership in ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Own design for Verifications product areas (drug & occupational health testing) from discovery to launch.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to shape roadmaps and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Translate complex workflows into clear, user-friendly experiences.
• Prototype quickly using AI-assisted tools and implement lightweight UI changes as needed.
• Design for trust, transparency, and accessible UX in a high-trust domain.
• Synthesize insights from research, stakeholder input, and product data to iterate.
• Create interaction and visual designs across responsive web/platforms with clear specs for engineering.
• Lead workshops and design reviews to align teams and drive decisions.
• Partner with Customer Success, Sales, Compliance/Legal, Data, and Operations to ensure real-world viability.
• Contribute to design systems and standards to improve consistency and speed across Checkr.
