Checkr is hiring an Engineering Manager for Verifications in a hybrid role based in the San Francisco, CA area. You will own a wide surface area including employment, education, drug and health verifications, and compliance products, focusing on scalability, automation, and faster delivery timelines.

You will lead a team to improve data quality, expand coverage, and build a faster, more consistent verification experience for our customers and candidates, while maintaining strict regulatory

Qualifications

• Experience leading Verifications or similar teams in data-sensitive, regulated products.
• Strong architecture and system-design experience for large, distributed systems.
• Proven track record of reducing incidents and improving detection time in production.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Verifications engineering team, setting direction and hiring pipeline.
• Own reliability and quality of a broad portfolio of fulfillment integrations.
• Partner with Product to define and execute roadmaps across multiple products.
• Drive technical strategy to scale complex integration-heavy systems.
• Lead adoption of AI-assisted development practices with quality controls.
• Represent Verifications in cross-functional planning with leadership.
