Job summary

Checkr is seeking a Senior Product Designer to shape end-to-end experiences for Verifications—employment, education, criminal, and driving checks, with a focus on health testing. You’ll partner with Product and Engineering to design intuitive, high-trust workflows for candidates, employers, and operations.

This hands-on role has high ownership: you’ll drive discovery through execution, bring strong craft, and help the team decide through clear storytelling and collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of product design experience and a proven track record shipping high-quality work.
• Portfolio demonstrates end-to-end thinking including problem framing, exploration, rationale, collaboration, iteration, and impact.
• Experience distilling complex domains into simple, usable flows.
• Strong product instincts balancing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.

Responsibilities

• Own design for Verifications areas across candidate, employer, and internal operations from discovery through launch.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to define problems, shape roadmaps, and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Simplify complex workflows into clear, user-friendly experiences.
• Use AI-assisted design tools to prototype and validate; implement lightweight UI changes in code when appropriate.
• Design for trust, accessibility, and transparency in a regulated domain.
