Job summary

Instagram is seeking a Product Designer to lead Shop Everything, turning creator content into native storefronts across Feed, Reels, Stories and Profile. You will own end-to-end design from discovery to purchase, ensuring the experience is valuable, easy to use, and crafted at the highest level.

You will shape AI-assisted flows like auto-tagging and cross-catalog search, design a persistent cart across surfaces, and earn trust in a multi-seller marketplace.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building and shipping applications or software at company-level scale, leading the end-to-end experience within a large-scale, ambiguous domain.
• Experience defining and evangelizing how an experience should behave based on user needs and scalable prototypes.
• Proficiency in typography, desktop/mobile UI, color, layout, iconography and aesthetic sense.

Responsibilities

• Define the end-to-end creator commerce experience — from product discovery and linking, through how it surfaces to audiences, to earnings and insights
• Design shoppable content formats that feel native, trustworthy, and delightful for consumers while rewarding creators
• Innovate on AI-assisted creation flows (auto-tagging, cross-catalog search, product suggestions) that reduce friction
• Define the end-to-end purchase experience — from interest through consideration, cart, and checkout
• Rebuild the product detail page around AI-assisted decision-making
• Design a persistent, cross-app cart that fits how people browse — intermittently, without intent to buy today
• Establish the interaction model for agentic purchase: delegation, control, transparency, recovery
• Design for trust across a multi-catalog world — third-party sellers, uneven data quality, varying checkout models
• Drive long-term vision for creator commerce and conversion on Instagram, with leadership and cross-functional partners
