Job summary

Instagram is seeking a Product Designer to lead Shop Everything, enabling creators to monetize content and consumers to shop without leaving the app. You will own end-to-end experiences across discovery, tagging, search, and checkout, crafting AI-assisted interactions that feel seamless and trustworthy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, CS, or related field with 8+ years of experience.
• 8+ years building and shipping apps at company scale, leading end-to-end in a large, ambiguous domain.
• Experience defining interaction behavior based on user needs and prototyping to demonstrate interaction.
• Visual design proficiency across typography, UI, color, layout, iconography and aesthetics impact on product.
• Strategic product thinking with goals, opportunities in global markets, and impact-based decisions.
• Experience presenting work to executives with clear goals and concepts.

Responsibilities

• Define the end-to-end creator commerce experience—from discovery and linking to earnings and insights.
• Design shoppable content formats that feel native, trustworthy, and delightful for consumers while rewarding creators.
• Innovate on AI-assisted creation flows (auto-tagging, cross-catalog search, product suggestions) to reduce friction.
• Define the end-to-end purchase experience—from interest through checkout.
• Rebuild the product detail page around AI-assisted decision-making rather than static data.
• Design a persistent, cross-app cart that users can accumulate over time.
• Establish an interaction model for agentic purchase: delegation, control, transparency.
• Design for trust across a multi-catalog world with third-party sellers and varying checkout models.
• Drive long-term vision for creator commerce and conversion with leadership and partners.
