Job summary

9amHealth is seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead the member app experience. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and clinical teams to design onboarding, care tasks, and engagement flows.

Your work connects with an in-house EMR and Care Team workflows, influencing how members interact with labs, medications, and education. The role demands strong user research, a clear point of view, and the ability to drive outcomes through thoughtful interaction and visual design.

Qualifications

• Experience leading design for a consumer product or major product area.
• Ability to connect design decisions to measurable outcomes.
• Strong understanding of behavior-change design principles.
• Strong research skills to inform prioritization and decisions.
• Proficiency with prototyping tools, including AI-assisted approaches; knowing when to supplement with code.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to align teams.

Responsibilities

• Take priority problems from discovery through interaction and visual design, implementation, and iteration.
• Design onboarding, care tasks, habit-building features, and re-engagement flows for user action and retention.
• Collaborate with squads to define success metrics and analyze activation, funnel and retention data.
• Create code-based prototypes and test ideas with engineers; apply AI-assisted tools when appropriate.
• Run user research to validate needs and refine priorities and product direction.
• Collaborate with design and engineering to evolve accessible components within the design system.
• Work with clinicians and care teams to understand impact on workflows and reduce avoidable work.
