Job summary

Garmin is seeking a Senior Product Designer for its U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area.

You will lead design direction across multiple projects, mentor junior designers, and advocate for user-centered design to deliver exceptional product experiences. Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing teams to shape feature vision, develop design patterns for the Web Design System, and communicate insights through mockups, stories, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years relevant work experience OR 9 years equivalent education/experience
• GPA 3.0 or higher (as a general rule) and ability to apply learned knowledge
• Proficient in UX tools such as Figma and Sketch, plus interactive prototyping tools
• Proven track record leading design direction for multiple projects and ensuring timely completion
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead design direction for multiple projects and plan timelines
• Mentor junior designers (Product Designer 1 & 2)
• Shape feature vision with team leads/management
• Act as SME for key features and communicate UX best practices
• Collaborate across product design, development and management teams
