Job summary

Garmin Ltd. in the Greater Kansas City area is seeking a Product Designer Intern.

You will learn fundamental usability and user-centered design principles to guide software UI development for various Garmin products, working closely with UX designers, software engineers, production artists and product managers. You will prototype new experiences, create design mockups, and participate in usability testing to ensure interactive, user-friendly interfaces across Garmin products.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in interactive design or related field
• Strong academic record (GPA 3.0+ )
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience and/or training in UI design and behavior

Responsibilities

• Learn to research, design and prototype new user experiences for features
• Create design mockups and wireframes for proper design implementation
• Collaborate with UX designers, engineers, and product managers
• Conduct usability tests and gather feedback on designs
• Maintain UI consistency across Garmin products
