Job summary

Garmin Ltd. is seeking a full-time Senior Mechanical Designer at their U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. Responsibilities include driving mechanical solutions by providing CAD modeling, documentation, and testing support within a collaborative environment.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical design, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of material processes. Experience with Onshape and SolidWorks is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years relevant experience in mechanical design.
• Strong knowledge of injection molding, die casting, and machining.
• Experience with SolidWorks PDM system or similar document management system.

Responsibilities

• Support completion of complex mechanical designs for Garmin products.
• Collaborate and participate in design reviews.
• Mentor less experienced Designers and participate in recruiting.
