Job summary

Mercury Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Product Designer for Cards & Credit. You’ll tackle complex product problems and shape experiences that simplify banking for startups while collaborating with product and engineering.

You’ll own end-to-end design from framing to final implementation, work across the design stack, and partner with Mercury’s Brand team on physical cards to ensure cohesive experiences. A strong portfolio and curiosity are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional product thinking, interaction design, and visual craft.
• Ability to understand complicated systems and turn them into simple, thoughtful product experiences.
• Curiosity about why a problem exists before deciding how to solve it, with a willingness to question assumptions and work from first principles.

Responsibilities

• Own meaningful Cards & Credit product problems from initial framing through shipped experience, partnering with Product and Engineering.
• Turn complicated systems, requirements, and edge cases into experiences that feel simple and intuitive.
• Work across the entire design stack, from framing problems to workflows, interactions, visual design, prototyping, and final implementation.
• Collaborate with Mercury’s Brand team on physical cards to create a cohesive experience between objects and product experiences.
• Develop a deep understanding of customers and communicate the reasoning behind decisions clearly, working through tradeoffs with partners.
