You will drive cross-functional collaboration with Product Management, Sourcing, Quality, Manufacturing, and Sales while applying DFM/DFMEA and PLM processes. The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years of experience, and strong communication skills to influence teams without direct authority.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical product design and development.
• Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD software.
• Experience with DFMEA, PPAP, and Design for Manufacturing.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes including injection molding, stamping, machining, die casting, elastomers, and assembly.
• Experience working with domestic and international suppliers.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to influence across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering design and development of new products and product enhancements from concept through commercialization.
• Translate customer needs and market trends into innovative engineering solutions.
• Own technical execution of multiple concurrent new product development projects.
• Ensure designs meet customer requirements, manufacturing capabilities, regulatory requirements, and cost objectives.
• Lead engineering design reviews and technical decision-making throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan projects, milestones, and risk mitigation.
• Develop and maintain CAD models, drawings, specifications, and BOMs.
• Support tooling, supplier qualification, and production launches.
