Job summary

Page Mechanical Group, Inc. in Irving, Texas, seeks a Product Design Engineer Contractor to drive the product design process from concept through prototyping and manufacturing.

Collaborate with the LSP Quality & Engineering team and vendors to deliver robust parts. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Materials Engineering, 2–5 years in product design or drafting, SolidWorks CAD experience, 2D/3D drawings, and familiarity with manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Materials or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in product design or drafting.
• Plastic part design experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive the product design process through all phases from conceptualization to prototyping and manufacturing.
• Prepare 2D drawings, 3D CAD models, renderings and supporting documentation; update existing designs for the market.
• Improve engineering design practices and procedures to reduce manufacturing costs and field issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
