Mudflap is hiring a Senior Data Scientist, Product in Palo Alto. You will partner with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Leadership to drive strategic decisions via analytics, ML, and experiments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or related fields.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation, modeling, and automation.
• Experience building production-ready models and pipelines.
• Strong statistical knowledge and experience designing experiments (A/B testing, cohort analysis, causal inference).
• Excellent communication skills—ability to present complex insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in risk, growth/marketing, or product analytics domains is preferred.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment with collaboration and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategic data science initiatives that impact business outcomes with executive leadership.
• Lead end-to-end ML projects from problem formulation through production deployment, including model development and A/B testing.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Ops, Risk to translate requirements into analytical solutions.
• Mentor junior data scientists and analysts and establish best practices across the organization.
• Lead experimentation strategy and translate test results into product improvements affecting key metrics.
