Job summary

Temporal Technologies seeks a Data Scientist, Product Growth and Experimentation to drive PLG decision making. You will collaborate across Product and Engineering to illuminate onboarding and adoption, surface friction points, and surface interventions to broaden value realization for users.

You will apply advanced statistical methods, build repeatable analyses, and deliver actionable insights with clear visuals for non-technical stakeholders, helping prioritize opportunities and improve

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in statistics, experimental design, and quantitative analysis.
• Experience using product/data to improve activation, engagement, retention, or expansion.
• Experience with small samples or noisy signals where standard A/B testing isn't possible.
• Good judgment in selecting methods fitting data and uncertainty.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for analysis and automation.
• Experience with cohort/funnel/segmentation and predictive modeling.
• Ability to prototype in notebooks and convert analyses into reusable assets.

Responsibilities

• Embed with Product, Design, and Engineering to shape strategy, proposals, and experiments.
• Build analytical frameworks across the full PLG journey from acquisition to durability.
• Use funnel, cohort, journey, and sequence analysis to identify friction and opportunities.
• Identify signals predicting conversion, expansion, churn, and long-term success.
• Design experiments using causal methods when A/B testing isn't practical.
• Clearly distinguish observed results from assumptions and quantify uncertainty.
• Build dashboards and reusable analytics assets for cross-functional teams.
• Communicate findings with clear visuals and practical recommendations.
