Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Senior Product Counsel to provide practical legal advice to our engineering and product teams as we navigate evolving data privacy, protection, and AI regulations globally.

You will lead end-to-end product counseling, draft and negotiate product-related agreements including DPAs and BAAs, and collaborate with privacy, security, and commercial teams to enable responsible innovation at scale.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant legal experience at a top law firm and/or in-house.
• At least 2 years focused on product, privacy, or IP law.
• Experience with AI, FedRAMP, or payments is a plus.
• Strong understanding of cloud/software technology and ability to learn product basics.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end product counseling from ideation to end of life.
• Draft and update form agreements for products and services, including DPAs and BAAs.
• Advise on cybersecurity as part of incident response teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring offerings to market and improve processes.
• Develop and implement processes to enhance the product counseling function.
