Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Senior Counsel, Privacy to own and mature our privacy program, delivering practical legal guidance across the business. You will build AI-enabled privacy solutions, lead governance, and partner with product, security, and compliance teams to stay ahead of evolving privacy laws.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant legal experience with privacy focus
• Deep knowledge of global privacy and AI frameworks (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, EU AI Act)
• Experience building or leading a privacy program, not only advisory work

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on global privacy compliance and AI governance.
• Lead and mature the company privacy program, incl. DPIAs/PIAs and data mapping.
• Draft and negotiate data protection provisions in commercial transactions (DPA, SCCs).
• Design privacy training, policies, and cross-functional governance processes.
