Job summary

The Department of Juvenile Justice in Virginia seeks a Senior Buyer (Procurement Officer II) to provide timely procurement review, oversight, and guidance for all procurement transactions, including eVA, VITA, SWaM and SPCC, and to train DJJ staff on these initiatives.

Eligible applicants must have extensive knowledge of VPPA and APSPM, with the ability to interpret and teach these policies and to use eVA, VITA, and SWaM requirements effectively.

Qualifications

• Considerable knowledge of the principles and best practices of procuring goods and services by appropriate methods as illustrated in VPPA, APSPM and ability to interpret and train staff on VPPA/APSPM.
