Job summary

Department of Juvenile Justice is seeking a Senior Buyer at the Central Office to provide procurement review, support, and guidance for transactions including eVA, VITA, SWaM and SPCC, ensuring compliance with VPPA and APSPM.

Selected candidate will train DJJ staff on procurement initiatives, with background checks and background screenings as part of pre-employment requirements. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Considerable knowledge of procuring goods and services per VPPA and APSPM.
• Ability to interpret VPPA/APSPM content and train staff.
• Extensive knowledge of eVA, VITA and SWaM requirements.

Responsibilities

• To provide timely procurement review, support, oversight and assistance for all procurement transactions to include eVA, VITA, SWaM and SPCC to include training and guidance to all DJJ Staff for the above initiatives and mandates.
