Job summary

Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice is seeking a Senior Buyer to provide timely procurement review and support for all transactions, including eVA, VITA, SWaM and SPCC. The role includes training staff on procurement mandates and ensuring compliance with VPPA and APSPM.

As a Procurement Officer II at the Central Office, you will guide DJJ staff, interpret procurement rules, and coordinate with suppliers to meet agency needs while maintaining governance and process integrity.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of VPPA and APSPM, and ability to interpret and train staff on them.
• Experience using eVA, VITA, and SWaM requirements.
• Ability to provide guidance and training to DJJ staff on procurement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely procurement review and oversight for all transactions including eVA, VITA, SWaM and SPCC.
• Offer training and guidance to DJJ staff on procurement mandates and processes.
• Support and assist with procurement reviews across the department.
