Job summary

Cenovus Energy is seeking a Senior Staff Process and Technical Safety Engineer to lead the US region's Process Safety competency and collaborate with Canadian counterparts. You will shape policy development, interpret codes, and drive risk-based decisions across refineries.

The role requires extensive experience in process safety, hazard analysis, and regulatory compliance, with a focus on PHA standards, RMP, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• 16+ years in Process Safety or related field.
• Experience leading multiple unit HAZOPs and MOCs.

Responsibilities

• Lead Process Safety across US Refineries, including methodology development and regulatory interpretation.
• Develop engineers trained in Cenovus Risk Methodology (HAZOP, LOPA, HAZID).
• Design, deliver, and maintain a risk-training suite for site personnel.
