Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, is seeking a Senior Process Improvement Engineer in Decatur, AL. You will manage equipment and process effectiveness in a production area, guide technical support, and drive improvements across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale.

The role demands strong problem solving, PM/maintenance leadership, and cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Safety, and Quality.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field required.
3+ years experience in Manufacturing Engineering/Operations/Quality support or equivalent.
5+ years experience in high-volume manufacturing in an engineering role or equivalent.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced computer skills with Microsoft products and ability to learn new systems.
Strong project management and analytical/problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Own all equipment and tooling in the production area and oversee maintenance sign-off.
Serve as primary troubleshooting resource for the process in the plant.
Monitor and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
Recommend equipment purchases and sign-off on upgrades.
Lead preventive maintenance plans and total productive maintenance activities.
Develop and enforce Manufacturing Control Plans and standard procedures.
Lead root-cause analysis and implement countermeasures across the production area.
Coordinate with Engineers on equipment purchases and line setup.
