Job summary

GE Appliances in Decatur, AL, is seeking a Senior Process Improvement Engineer to drive equipment and process effectiveness in a high-volume manufacturing area. You will lead troubleshooting, apply root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve safety, quality, delivery, and uptime.

You will own the manufacturing control plan, collaborate cross-functionally with maintenance, design, and operations, and guide continuous improvement initiatives and NPI-related manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Manufacturing Engineering/Operations/Quality support roles.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in high-volume manufacturing in an Engineering role.

Responsibilities

• Own equipment and tooling in the production area and troubleshoot issues.
• Lead improvement initiatives to increase safety, quality, delivery, and uptime.
• Develop and maintain Manufacturing Control Plans and work with cross-functional teams.
• Lead root-cause analysis and implement countermeasures across the line.
• Coordinate with design and production teams on equipment purchases and NPI changes.
