Job summary

GHD is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead complex wastewater treatment projects across the United States, applying advanced process knowledge and mentoring junior staff. The role collaborates with national experts and regional teams to develop practical design solutions.

This hybrid position offers in-office three days a week across US East offices with flexibility for other locations. Applicants should hold PE license and 8+ years of experience in water/wastewater design and research.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
Professional Engineer license.
Minimum 8 years of experience in wastewater treatment design and research.

Responsibilities

Executing advanced process designs for municipal and industrial wastewater facilities, focusing on nutrient removal and biosolids management.
Collaborating with national experts to implement innovative wastewater treatment technologies on high-profile projects.
Mentoring and providing technical direction to junior process engineers.
Assisting with technical proposals, crafting the process approach and innovative solutions.
Conducting complex process modeling (BioWin, Sumo, GPS-X) following best practices.
Performing QA/QC reviews of design calculations, reports and drawings.
