Job summary

Randstad USA in Fremont, CA seeks a Sr Process Engineer for a high growth chemical manufacturing environment. You will oversee SPC for key products, boost first-pass yields, streamline processes, and drive cost savings. Experience with chemical synthesis and batch operations is highly desired.

The position is a permanent, full-time role with typical 8am–4pm hours, and benefits offered through W-2. Relocation support may be considered where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in process engineering.
• Education: Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience with SPC and cost-saving initiatives is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee critical processes, lead daily production monitoring (quality, cycle time, EHS, standards), and track SPC activities.
• Investigate product failures and out-of-control events, manage NCMRs to timely closure, and execute corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Lead process engineering capital projects, resolve equipment issues, and collaborate with Maintenance/Production using Management of Change (MOC) protocols.
• Author and modify Work Instructions; support pilot-to-full-scale manufacturing via batch validation, documentation, and operator training.
• Manage the equipment/instrumentation calibration program and serve as secondary support for EHS activities (waste shipments, permits, audits, system validation).
