Job summary

Yield Engineering Systems in Fremont, California, seeks a Senior Process Engineer to develop, optimize, and troubleshoot semiconductor processes for customer requirements. You will lead process development, characterization, and optimization of new equipment and technologies.

Responsibilities include writing test protocols, performing DOE studies, and compiling data to establish process specifications. You will present findings to management, collaborate across teams, and mentor junior staff

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, EE or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE).
• Experience leading process development, optimization, and troubleshooting projects in a semiconductor or related manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Apply principles of engineering, thermal or fluid sciences to develop, optimize, and troubleshoot semiconductor processes as per customer requirements.
• Lead process development, characterization, and optimization activities for new equipment, applications, and process technologies.
• Write test protocols, perform tests to fully characterize new equipment or processes utilizing DOE methodology or other statistically sound methods, then write completion reports.
• Collaborate internally to plan, collect data, analyze results, and lead customer demonstrations for existing and emerging process applications.
• Compile and analyze test data to establish process specifications, operating limits, and recommendations for future process development.
