Job summary

Syensqo seeks a Process and Project Engineer to support the manufacturing facility with design, data analysis, troubleshooting, and equipment sizing to meet performance goals while advancing safety and efficiency.

You will lead safety reviews, ensure regulatory compliance (OSHA PSM, EPA RMP), and drive cross-functional improvements to enhance OEE and cost-effectiveness across multiple product lines.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of engineering experience in Process and Project Engineering.
• BS ChE preferred; other engineering disciplines considered.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Chemical industry background; surfactants preferred.
• Familiarity with OSHA, PSM and environmental regulations.
• Ability to research different technologies and specify/size equipment.
• Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and solve problems with innovative approaches.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering support to the manufacturing facility.
• Design and modify facilities; gather and analyze data; troubleshoot problems.
• Lead safety reviews; ensure OSHA PSM and EPA RMP compliance.
• Improve process performance and OEE; manage small capital projects.
• Prepare flow diagrams and P&ID's; specify equipment.
• Train production operators and maintenance staff on unit operations.
