Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in San Diego, CA seeks a Lead Process Engineer for Electromagnetic Defensive Solutions to develop industrial processes for microelectronics, with emphasis on laser welding, hermetic testing, and ink/label finishing.

You will drive DOE studies, ensure product quality, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across electrical, mechanical, and materials teams to achieve production readiness and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Seven years of process engineering experience with Electrical/RF knowledge.
• Ten years of process engineering experience in aerospace/defense.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple process labs, laser sealing, cutting, and finishing of microelectronic packages.
• Interface with engineers and suppliers to improve manufacturability and yields.
• Develop DOE plans and analyze results with statistical methods.
• Provide fixture design concepts to engineering and drafting teams.
• Participate in design reviews from concept to production readiness.
• Mentor junior process engineers and support safety training.
