Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace US LLC in California is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to provide daily production support, troubleshoot defects with operators, and write work instructions documenting key process steps.

The role emphasizes using DOE and statistical analysis to improve processes, lead cross-functional improvement projects, and drive continuous gains in throughput, quality and efficiency at the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (mechanical, aerospace, material science, or equivalent)
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience or demonstrate the ability to make improvements to a manufacturing process
• Ability to multitask, keep track and bring projects to closure
• Must show definite interest and desire to work on process problems and improvements in a manufacturing environment
• Must have aptitude for running scientific experiments with the use of DOE and other statistical techniques
• Ability and desire to work hands-on in a team environment is necessary
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
• WE VALUE: 7+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
• WE VALUE: 7+ years comprehensive experience with automation equipment, equipment programing, running scientific experiments with the use of DOE and other statistical techniques
• WE VALUE: 7+ years working in a dynamic & cross functional team environment and demonstrating technical leadership
• WE VALUE: 7+ years of working experience with pick and place machines, epoxy dispensers, or wire bonding machines
• WE VALUE: 7+ years of recent hands on and technical experience with sourcing, selecting, and qualifying automation equipment
• WE VALUE: Must have good understanding of common assembly materials (e.g., epoxy, fine wires, mechanical assembly tools)
• WE VALUE: Must have great communication skills are required to work with a wide variety of people, including design engineers, project engineers, and manufacturing personnel

Responsibilities

• Lead process improvement projects to optimize manufacturing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions
• Analyze data and perform statistical analysis to identify process trends and opportunities
• Implement process enhancements and monitor their effectiveness
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and quality
