Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in San Diego seeks a Lead Process Engineer to advance industrial microelectronics processes, including laser welding, sealing, coating, and testing, within safety and cost constraints.

You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and materials teams, perform DOE, develop docs, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to production readiness through design reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Physical Science, or Physics related discipline.
• Seven years (7) years of process engineering experience and knowledge of Electrical/RF Engineering.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Master's degree in engineering, Physical Science, or Physics related discipline.
• Ten (10) years' process engineering experience
• Aerospace and Defense industry experience

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple process labs in the downstream process and support development.
• Modify and enhance manufacturability with engineers and suppliers; ensure yields.
• Develop processes within design guidelines and release documentation.
• Perform detailed DOE and analyze results using statistics.
• Provide fixture design concepts to mechanical engineering.
• Actively participate in design review gates from concept to production readiness.
• Mentor early career process engineers.
• Participate in safety training and follow safety policies.
