Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Lead Materials Engineer (Mechanical Design) based in Torrance to provide technical leadership across materials engineering, design reviews, and production support. You will mentor engineers, train teams, and coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders on metallurgical issues and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Material Science, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years experience in materials engineering disciplines.
• Experience with aerospace metallurgical processes, especially Welding and metal joining.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical matters across materials engineering, design reviews, and production support.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical training.
• Engage with suppliers and internal teams on metallurgical issues and process improvements.
• Develop and implement aerospace-level engineering processes and guidelines.
