Job summary

Dexcom, Inc. is seeking a senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead cross-functional teams in initiating new products and design changes for manufacturing at the San Diego Product Innovation Center.

The role focuses on maintaining KPIs such as yield, output, costs, and quality across Dexcom's global manufacturing sites. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline required; 8–12 years experience, or Master's 5–7 years, or PhD 2–4 years.
• Experience in development, transfer, validation, support, and optimization of high-volume manufacturing processes.
• Strong data analysis and experimental design skills; proficiency with JMP or Minitab preferred.
• Experience with Change Management and Document Control Systems; MES experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to identify and implement new products or design changes into manufacturing, focusing on KPIs like yield, output, cost and quality.
• Identify key process variables using statistical methods (Gauge R&R, DOE) to investigate issues and optimize processes for quality and scalability.
• Collaborate with Ops PMs, Pilot, Manufacturing, Equipment Engineering, Supply Chain, R&D, Process Development, and Quality to support NPI transfer and production scale-up.
• Plan, manage, and prioritize tasks; communicate progress to management; contribute to design and process requirements (FMEAs, specs, validation plans, validation strategies).
