Revolution Medicines is seeking an advanced career scientist to lead hands‑on process chemistry work critical to our RAS‑ON program. You will design pivotal experiments, guide cross‑disciplinary teams, and drive scale‑up and technology transfer to CDMOs.

The role supports regulatory filings and requires strong technical judgment in complex development contexts. The position bases onsite at our Redwood City headquarters with a focus on delivering robust, scalable drug substance processes.

Qualifications

• PhD in organic chemistry with 8+ years in pharmaceutical process development.
• Solving complex small‑molecule process chemistry problems and delivering robust clinical manufacturing processes.
• Contributing to regulatory submissions and leading process development, scale‑up, and tech transfer.
• Leadership of cross‑disciplinary scientific teams with staff supervision.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute pivotal experiments to resolve chemistry problems and test hypotheses.
• Lead investigations of reaction behavior, process variability, and impurity formation with justified conclusions.
• Direct integrated process development across programs, setting priorities and evaluating strategies.
• Manage scientists and research associates, with coaching and performance feedback.
• Lead cross‑disciplinary discussions with analytics, quality, manufacturing, regulatory, and supply chain.
• Oversee lab scale‑up and technology transfer to CDMOs, assessing risks and resolving manufacturing issues.
• Author and review process chemistry docs to support regulatory filings with robust development evidence.
• Identify implications of findings for future development and maintain safety and knowledge capture.
