Job summary
10x Genomics in Pleasanton, CA is seeking a Senior Scientist to join the Process Development team to support development and commercial launch of new products. You will work cross-functionally with Chemistry, Microfluidics, Custom Plastic Consumables, Assay Development, and Production to develop, validate, and transfer new chemistries and processes for 10x reagents and consumables.
The ideal candidate has a PhD in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry with 5+ years in industry, can design meaningful
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry with 5+ years in industry.
- Ability to design meaningful experiments and analyze results using statistics.
- Strong documentation and communication for presentations and reports.
- Experience scaling up chemical manufacturing processes.
- Ability to transfer processes to manufacturing or OEM vendors.
Responsibilities
- Identify root causes of product deviations and implement solutions.
- Plan and execute experiments with accurate records and data analysis.
- Write protocols and maintain procedures and records.
- Communicate results to inform critical design decisions.
- Travel up to 10% internationally.
