You will own development of reactions and process steps, design experiments, and optimize routes and conditions to meet project objectives. The role requires a PhD in organic chemistry with 2+ years of related experience, strong hands-on skills in multistep synthesis, and proficiency with analytical tools and ELN/ChemDraw.

Qualifications

• PhD in organic chemistry with at least 2 years of related experience, including postdoctoral work.
• Independently design and execute process development studies and solve complex synthetic chemistry problems.
• Strong hands-on skills in multistep synthesis, reaction optimization, isolation, and characterization using NMR, chromatography, and mass spectrometry.
• Connect experimental results with process robustness, scale-up considerations, and project objectives.
• Experience leading a scientific workstream and providing technical guidance to colleagues.
• Clear scientific writing, collaboration, and proficiency with ELN, data analysis tools, and ChemDraw.

Responsibilities

• Own development of reactions and process steps to meet project objectives.
• Design and execute experiments to optimize routes and conditions.
• Investigate complex reaction behavior and impurity formation using mechanistic reasoning.
• Develop robust processes with parameter sensitivity, reproducibility, and impurity control.
• Plan laboratory studies and translate results for large-scale implementation.
• Prepare transfer procedures and work with CDMOs to resolve issues.
• Author process development reports and regulatory documentation; maintain ELN records.
• Provide scientific guidance to associates and address safety risks.
