Job summary

Savista, LLC is seeking a Pro Fee Coder to review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes for hospital and physician billing. The role supports revenue cycle improvement and ensures compliant coding.

You will validate APC calculations, interact with client staff, and maintain knowledge of coding guidelines, regulatory requirements, and continued education. This on-site coding role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and teamwork at Savista.

Qualifications

• Pass pre-employment skills assessment.
• Active AHIMA or AAPC credential.
• Two years of recent coding experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology and coding sets.
• Ability to code at 95% quality while meeting production standards.
• Proficient with MS Office and data entry.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes for designated patient types.
• Review facility records to ensure APC and E/M codes reflect diagnoses/procedures.
• Abstract clinical data to support diagnoses and discharge disposition.
• Complete assigned work functions utilizing resources.
• Act as a resource for data integrity and provider queries.
• Maintain patient/provider confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Participate in client and Savista trainings and calls.
• Keep current knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT guidelines and regulations.
• Pursue continuing education to maintain credentials.
