Qualifications

• Active AHIMA or AAPC credential required.
• Two years of hands-on coding experience.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS code sets and terminology.

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes for designated patient types.
• Review facility records to ensure accurate APC assignments and E/M codes.
• Abstract clinical data to support diagnoses, procedures and discharge disposition.
• Complete assigned work functions utilizing required resources.
• Maintain patient and provider confidentiality in HIPAA compliance.
• Participate in client and Savista staff meetings and trainings.
