Job summary

Savista, LLC is seeking a Pro Fee Coder to review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes for hospital and clinic data. The coder will validate APC calculations, abstract clinical data, and ensure regulatory compliance while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Ideal candidates hold AHIMA or AAPC credentials (RHIA/RHIT/ CCS/CCA or CPC/COC) and have at least two years of coding experience with proficiency in MS Office and common EHRs such as Cerner or NextGen.

Qualifications

• Two years of recent hands-on coding experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
• Strong ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS coding knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes for patient records.
• Review facility records to ensure accurate APC assignments and E/M codes.
• Abstract clinical data to support diagnoses and procedures.
• Maintain data integrity and assist client staff on coding practices.
• Protect patient confidentiality per HIPAA requirements.
• Participate in client meetings and ongoing education.
