Qualifications

• Active AHIMA or AAPC credential required or active credential.
• Two years of recent and relevant hands-on coding experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, pharmacology, and pathophysiology; familiar with ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS.
• Ability to code at 95% accuracy while meeting production/quality standards.
• Proficient with MS Office (data entry, sorting/filtering).
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills across levels of staff.

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes for designated patient types.
• Review facility records to ensure APC and E/M codes reflect diagnoses/procedures.
• Abstract clinical data to support diagnoses, procedures and discharge disposition.
• Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Engage with client staff and Savista teams in meetings and trainings.
