Job summary

TierPoint, LLC. is seeking a senior cloud infrastructure leader in the United States to own and advance VMware-based environments, storage, and cloud platforms. You will mentor teams, drive automation, and lead strategic projects while maintaining strong client and internal communications.

You will design, implement, and optimize high-availability, DR, and security across complex systems, working closely with Architecture, Engineering, Product, and Operations teams in a remote-friendly setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in IT/CS/Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years designing and supporting VMware-based infra.
• 5+ years IT infra admin and leadership roles.
• Expert VMware tech: vSphere, vSAN, HA, DRS, DR.
• Experience with enterprise storage incl. Pure, SAN/NAS, SSD storage.
• DR and BC tech incl. VMware Site Recovery and Zerto.
• 3+ years automation via scripting: PowerShell/PowerCLI, Python, Terraform.
• Strong troubleshooting, capacity planning, and performance analysis.
• HA, DR, backup, security, and resiliency best practices.
• Experience communicating complex tech to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Support, manage, monitor, and optimize cloud, virtualization, and storage infrastructure for performance, availability, and security.
• Act as senior technical authority for storage, virtualization, and cloud platforms and perform advanced troubleshooting.
• Lead major incident response, post-mortems, and cross-functional problem resolution.
• Mentor engineers and promote technical excellence and knowledge sharing.
• Lead complex infrastructure projects with Architecture, Engineering, Product, and Operations teams.
• Document and promote best practices, standards, and operational runbooks.
• Drive automation and process improvements for efficiency and quality.
• Maintain current knowledge of virtualization, cloud, and storage technologies.
