Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Tax Senior in Private Client Services to provide tax compliance and advisory services to high net‑worth individuals and families. You will work with clients and their advisors to prepare complex returns and deliver strategic planning.

You will lead engagement teams, supervise staff, and contribute to business development while maintaining strong client relationships and adherence to deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is required; CPA/EA/Attorney options preferred.
• Master’s degree in Accountancy/Taxation is a plus.
• Two years or more of tax experience in public accounting or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in tax and consulting engagements and identifies client needs.
• Gathers information to prepare tax returns with clients and advisors.
• Prepares complex tax returns for individuals, trusts, estates, S‑Corps, foundations, partnerships and gifts (Federal & State).
• Reviews basic returns and provides feedback to staff and interns.
• Analyzes tax notices and drafts initial responses.
• Performs advanced tax research and develops recommendations for PCS leadership.
• Works independently and in teams to meet deadlines and priorities.
• Collaborates to build relationships with other firm professionals.
