Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking a Tax Senior Manager in Private Client Services to provide tax compliance and consulting for high net worth clients. The role requires deep knowledge of personal income, estate and gift tax, and wealth retention strategies, as well as taxation of owner-operated entities.

You will review complex returns, research tax issues, engage with clients and advisors, supervise staff, and contribute to business development while meeting deadlines and maintaining strong client

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• Master's in Accounting or Taxation preferred.
• Additon Juris Doctorate (JD) or Master of Laws (LLM) in Taxation, preferred
• Seven (7) or more years of public accounting and private client services experience, required
• Public accounting experience in private client area preferred
• CPA or Licensed Attorney, required
• CFP or Masters in Tax, preferred
• Gosystems and BNA Tax Planner, preferred
• Microsoft Office Suite, preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detailed oriented
• Strong analytical, research and critical thinking skills
• Solid organizational skills, deadline-driven
• Ability to multi-task independently or in group
• Interact effectively at all levels of firm
• Basic accounting/tax knowledge
• General understanding of financial planning concepts
• Delegate and develop client relationships

Responsibilities

• Reviews individual and complex tax returns.
• Performs research and documents findings.
• Interacts with clients and advisors.
• Communicates project status to supervisors and clients.
• Manages billing, recruitment and CPE activities.
• Supervises engagements and reviews team work.
• Keeps current on tax developments and applies concepts.
• Identifies tax planning opportunities.
• Participates in business development and networking.
• Monitors KPI s per business line.
• Leverages firm specialists for cross-service opportunities
