Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Tax Senior, Private Client Services, to provide tax compliance and consulting to high net-worth individuals and families. You will lead engagements, gather information from clients and advisors, and prepare complex returns across various entities while mentoring staff.

The role emphasizes leadership, communication, and business development within a fast-paced environment, with a focus on technical excellence and client service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics is required; or a Bachelor’s degree in another field with CPA.
• Master’s degree in Accountancy or Taxation is preferred.
• Two (2) or more years of prior relevant tax experience is required.
• CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction), or Enrolled Agent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in tax and consulting engagements and addresses client needs.
• Gathers information from clients and advisors to prepare tax returns.
• Prepares complex returns for individuals, trusts, estates, S‑Corp, foundations, partnerships, and gifts.
• Reviews basic tax returns and provides feedback to staff.
• Analyzes tax notices and drafts initial responses.
• Performs advanced tax research and offers recommendations to PCS leadership.
• Works in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and collaborates with the team.
• Mentors PCS Associates and trains on software/tools.
