Job summary

BDO is seeking a Tax Senior for Private Client Services to deliver tax compliance and advisory support for high net-worth clients, including individuals, families and executives. The role emphasizes client communication, leadership, strict deadlines, and real-time collaboration with team members and external advisors.

The candidate should have 2+ years of relevant tax experience, CPA or equivalent preferred, and strong skills in tax research, planning and complex returns across various entities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics is required; CPA or equivalent is required.
• Master’s degree in Accountancy or Taxation is preferred.
• Two+ years of relevant tax experience in public accounting or similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Participates in tax engagements and gathers client information for tax returns.
• Prepares complex returns for individuals, trusts, estates, S-corps, foundations, partnerships, and gifts.
• Reviews basic tax returns and provides feedback to staff and interns.
• Analyzes tax notices and drafts initial responses.
• Researches advanced tax issues and makes recommendations to PCS leadership.
• Works in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment both independently and in teams.
• Mentors PCS Associates and collaborates with internal/external professionals.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics

CPA certification/CPA eligibility

Master’s degree in Accountancy or Taxation
