Job summary

BDO USA, a private client services practice, seeks a Tax Experienced Senior to deliver tax compliance and advisory services for high net-worth individuals and families. You will engage with clients, supervise staff, and contribute to business development within a fast-paced firm.

The role emphasizes leadership, technical expertise across trusts and estates, and collaboration with advisers to optimize tax outcomes while upholding client relationships and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics required; or degree with CPA certification
• Master’s degree in Accountancy or Taxation preferred
• Three or more years of prior relevant tax experience
• Experience in private client services preferred
• Prior supervisory experience preferred
• CPA, Attorney, or Enrolled Agent preferred

Responsibilities

• Participates in tax and consulting engagements and identifies client needs and opportunities
• Gathers information from clients and advisors to prepare tax returns
• Understands complex tax returns across individuals, trusts, estates, and entities
• Reviews basic tax returns and provides feedback to staff
• Analyzes tax notices and drafts responses
• Performs advanced tax research and provides recommendations to leadership
• Works in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Supports PCS contributions including billing and training
• Builds relationships with professionals inside and outside the firm
• May supervise PCS Associates and provide performance feedback
