Job summary
Compeer Financial seeks an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to lead privacy, technology transactions, information law, and data governance. You will own the privacy program's legal design and provide enterprise guidance on AI, data sharing, and cybersecurity, advising leadership on significant risk.

Qualifications
- Juris Doctor from an American Bar Association accredited law school.
- Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. state with ability to obtain Wisconsin/Minnesota/Illinois license within the first year.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel on privacy, technology, information law, and data governance; advise leadership on enterprise-wide risk.
- Lead privacy program design and ensure compliance with GLBA and state privacy laws.
- Draft, negotiate, and manage complex technology, data, and services agreements; oversee data processing and AI governance.
- Serve as Privacy Officer and coordinate data breach and cybersecurity incident response.
